Excited to announce the humble beginning of this resource open to all who are keen to start making use of scripting as well as to extend their knowledge especially for users already utilising the scripting options.
This is a resource from a beginner to fellow beginners and I hope that we can all learn together to enhance the workflow we have in developing our publications. For experienced users, you are very much welcome to give advice, suggestions of even better ways to achieve tasks that we will be trying to cover in each of our set projects.
For the rest of us, where do we start? I frequently fire up Opus to mess about in the tool, many times with no apparent goals at hand, could be I am trying out something that has been posted on the DigitalWorkshop forum or from the examples folder of the application, most times I find joy in how the tool achieves this and others, I raise my fist to the monitor, mostly because I don't know how to achieve a given task and where no answer appears to have been featured in the forum. this humble blog aims at addressing this by allowing us all to work through some example outcomes specifically trying to achieve this in script as opposed to the normal task system in opus, and I do hope that we can learn together and make our time using the tool more productive.
The plan is to have a written tutorial say every fortnight, with several snippets appearing in between the written release, mainly in the form of screencast. Still trying to figure out how to post files to "blogger".
To start off I would like us to compile some areas of scripting that should get us off in this quest.
Please use the feedback for this, will trawl through the forum for already requested scripting learning resources.
